Our volunteers are vital to the success of the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo. Whether you enjoy working with animals, assisting guests, or adding creative touches, there's a committee for you! Here's a look at the available opportunities:
Livestock Committee
The Livestock Committee supports the organization and management of all livestock shows during the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo. Responsibilities may include assisting exhibitors, coordinating show schedules, supporting judges and ring staff, and helping with animal check-in, staging, and flow throughout the barns. This committee plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and organized experience for youth exhibitors and their families.

Rodeo Committee
The Rodeo Committee works behind the scenes to support rodeo production and operations. Duties may include assisting with contestant check-in, coordinating arena activities, supporting stock contractors and rodeo personnel, and helping ensure each performance runs smoothly and on schedule. This committee is ideal for those who enjoy fast-paced environments and being close to the action.

Parking Committee
The Parking Committee helps create a positive first impression for fairgoers by directing traffic and assisting guests in locating designated parking areas. Volunteers ensure an efficient parking process for visitors, exhibitors, vendors, and staff, helping maintain safe traffic flow throughout the event.

Ticketing Committee
The Ticketing Committee serves as a key point of contact for guests entering the fairgrounds. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, managing ticket sales, scanning or verifying admission credentials, and answering basic questions. Committee members help ensure an efficient and welcoming entry experience for all attendees.

The Volunteer Committee supports the recruitment, organization, and success of volunteers across all areas of the Fair & Rodeo. Duties may include volunteer check-in, assisting with training, distributing shirts or credentials, and serving as a resource to ensure volunteers have what they need throughout the event.

The Entertainment Committee assists with coordinating fair entertainment, performances, and attractions. Responsibilities may include supporting entertainers and performers, managing schedules, assisting with stage or activity setup, and helping ensure performances run smoothly and on time for guests.

Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee supports sponsor relations and recognition throughout the Fair & Rodeo. Duties may include assisting with sponsor check-in, ensuring sponsor signage and benefits are properly displayed, supporting sponsor hospitality, and helping strengthen relationships with community partners.

Safety & Security Committee
The Safety & Security Committee works alongside staff and local authorities to help maintain a safe environment for guests, exhibitors, volunteers, and participants. Responsibilities may include monitoring designated areas, assisting with crowd flow, reporting concerns, and helping communicate safety information when needed.

Beverage / Alcohol Committee
The Beverage & Alcohol Committee assists with beverage operations throughout the event. Duties may include supporting licensed vendors, monitoring designated service areas, ensuring compliance with policies, and helping maintain clean, organized, and responsible beverage spaces.

Speakers Committee
The Speakers’ Committee serves as ambassadors for the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo by promoting the event within the community. Members of this committee visit local organizations, schools, chambers, and civic groups to share information about the Fair & Rodeo, upcoming dates, attractions, and opportunities for involvement. This committee helps strengthen community relationships and increase awareness, attendance, and engagement across the Brazos Valley.
